Security Guard

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Security Guard to join our hospital security team. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by patrolling the premises, responding to emergencies, and enforcing hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field (preferred).
+ Must meet Montana State Security Officer licensing requirements and obtain a valid license within 30 days of hire.
+ Possession of a valid Montana driver’s license with a clean driving record:
+ No moving violations in the past 5 years
+ No major driving offenses (e.g., DUI)
+ Heartsaver CPR certification (required).
+ Experience or training in a healthcare or hospital setting is preferred.
+ Working knowledge of security and fire safety procedures.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (preferred).
Key Responsibilities:
+ Patrols hospital premises to prevent and detect fire, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
+ Inspects doors, windows, and gates to ensure security and identify suspicious activity.
+ Responds to alarms, emergency codes, and unsafe conditions; assists in crowd control and evacuation procedures.
+ Provides escorts for patients, staff, and visitors as requested.
+ Writes clear and detailed incident and activity reports in accordance with department procedures.
+ Serves as a liaison with local law enforcement and emergency services.
+ Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the hospital’s layout, including emergency exits and lockdown procedures.
+ Investigates and reports any signs of criminal activity or damage; takes appropriate action as necessary.
+ Engages with unauthorized or suspicious individuals, detains when necessary, and contacts law enforcement as appropriate.
+ Enforces hospital parking regulations and monitors vehicle activity in hospital lots.
+ Participates in training, emergency drills, and other safety functions.
+ Operates ground ambulance when needed; transports sensitive materials (e.g., documents, funds) securely.
+ Maintains punctual, reliable attendance in accordance with the department’s schedule.

Schedule:
A flexible work schedule is required including possible holidays and weekend assignments when required.
