Labcorp is seeking a Security Guard to join our Security team in Greenfield, IN!

Schedule: 2:00pm-10:00pm (includes a 9% shift differential)

weekend rotation required

Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for security for entire Greenfield campus, as such you'll walk the facility several times a day as well as staff the security office.

Patrol campus and buildings, monitoring conditions or situations which pose a risk to the safety/security of people and/or property or are in violation of company policyEnsure the integrity and proper operating condition of all installed security systemsBrief and debrief with other security staff to pass along pertinent business-related informationDocument and reports all daily activities and incidents in the Security Reporting DatabaseMonitor PC based monitoring systems and electronic equipment at Security Station (e.g. Security Access control system, CCTV, Environmental Management and Control systems, and fire alarm systemDocument and maintain study-related data relating to environmental conditions for Environmental Monitoring SystemsProvide prompt notification to on-call technicians or administrative personnel to resolve any problems that may arise.Attend all required training programs and meetingsMonitor and maintain status of Fire Alarm panel and take appropriate action in response to alarmsFollow the Post Orders for the assigned Security StationRespond to emergencies in accordance with company policy (e.g., medical, chemical spills, fire evacuations)Enforce company policies, especially Security and Environmental, Health and SafetyCheck personnel, contractors, service technicians, and vendors for proper authorization to facilities and for contrabandReceive after business hour deliveries of packages and mail, document, and store appropriatelyPerform security function in accordance with company and departmental guidelines and policiesDemonstrate a high level of customer service to co-workers as well as internal and external customers by directing them to the resource that will best meet their needAnswer and relay incoming calls to personnel designated by the caller or by the nature of the inquiry without compromising company or employee confidentialityAssist with administrative responsibilitiesProvide lock/key services

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent1 year or more of work experience recording information in automated systems  1 year or more of experience using Microsoft products such as word, excel and outlook1 year or more of demonstrated quality customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

1 year or more of experience in security

Additional Job Standards:

Clean driving record with valid Driver’s licenseFlexible to work overtime as neededComfortable working in Animal Research facility

Pay: $20-$21/hr. (with shift premium hourly rate is $21.80-$22.89)
