About our Internship Program 

Our internships offer comprehensive experience in the industry by providing hands-on opportunities to gain practical knowledge. Participants engage in weekly developmental sessions, fostering networking with both peers and leadership. Working closely with senior engineers, interns learn and adopt key development processes while thriving in diverse environments, ensuring smooth collaboration with stakeholders. They tackle technical challenges, showcasing problem-solving skills and staying updated with evolving technological trends.  

 

Start Date: June 1, 2026  

Duration: 11-12 weeks  

Location: On-site in Raleigh, NC.   

Relocation assistance is NOT provided.  

Graduation Requirements: Applicants must have a graduation date AFTER June 2026 to be eligible for consideration.  

 

 

About the Role 
 

As a Security Engineer Intern, you will maintain and improve information systems security for our organization. You will also collaborate with security professionals to secure valuable data and gain valuable cybersecurity skills in the process. You will gain hands-on experience in network and web-based security.  

Responsibilities 
 

Delivering small time-bound projects, with associated communications and stakeholder management. 

Supporting assignments involving the execution of a series of security-related tasks. 

Working under the guidance of senior engineers and embracing development processes. 

Documenting and investigating simple security incidents as directed and monitored by colleagues. 

Assisting in gathering security metrics for presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders. 

Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor to gain experience and broaden skill set. 

 
Requirements 
 

Be a currently enrolled student pursuing a degree in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field of study.  

Have a basic understanding of networking principles and security concepts. 

Be able to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly and independently. 

Have excellent attention to detail and precise analytical skills. 

Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 

Be able to work collaboratively in a team environment while also prioritizing and managing multiple tasks effectively.

Salary Range 
 

$22-$32 hourly, depending on level of degree
