Job Duties & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Security Engineer to help secure company applications and environments. The ideal candidate will focus on: 

Collaborating closely with the security engineering team and adjacent IT teams to provide security analysis, hardening recommendations, and security controls across organizational IT assets.

Analyzing emerging threats, continually assessing threat intelligence, and facilitating security solutions that will positively impact the company’s security posture. 

Develop security logging, monitoring, and alerting around company IT assets and identify opportunities to consolidate information in a centralized SIEM.

Enhance vulnerability management to ensure comprehensive visibility and security of the company infrastructure and services, to include on-premise and cloud-based environments.

Assist with incident response and on-call responsibilities in the case of a security event or incident involving supported infrastructure and applications.

Develop and partner with company leadership, IT management, and teams across the company to provide security awareness training and facilitate a security-first culture.

Qualifications:

Optimal candidates will have experience, education, and certifications similar to:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Technology or similar

3-6 Years of experience in Cyber Security and/or IT Systems Administration

Certifications such as CompTIA Security+/CySA+/CASP+, ISC2 SSCP/CISSP and/or cloud-based IT security certifications (AWS/Azure)
