Title: Security & Emergency Preparedness Intern

Department: Physical Security

Location: Acrisure Headquarters-Studio Park

Schedule: Part-Time (16 hours)/week, Semester-long

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to assist our Physical Security Team and Safety & Security Specialist with the development and maintenance of our corporate Emergency Operations Plans. This internship will offer exposure to emergency preparedness planning within a corporate environment as well as a well-rounded understanding of global security operations. This opportunity would be ideal for students pursuing a career in criminal justice, public safety, emergency management, public or business administration and related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

A primary responsibility of the intern will be to assist in the development of informational annexes for Emergency Operations Plan development. These annexes will serve as critical pre-planning documents that consolidate essential site-specific details to support an effective response during an emergency.Input data into EOP documentsUpdate contact directoriesFormat, organize, and help maintain document version controlAssist in planning virtual and in-person trainings, drills and exercisesWork collaboratively with the Security Director, Safety & Security Specialist and Corporate Security Department

Ability to handle sensitive informationBasic understanding of emergency response operationsSelf-Starter with a willingness to learn and receive feedbackFamiliarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and TeamsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsBasic research and writing skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or related fieldExperience with data entry, report formatting and/or academic research
