OverviewThe Security Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect the organization’s networks, systems, and data. This role involves continuous monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure a secure digital environment.
Responsibilities Monitor network traffic and security alerts to detect and respond to threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches.Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection tools.Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure and cloud environments.Maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation of security configurations and controls.Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure secure system configurations and compliance with PCI DSS, NIST, SOC 2, and other frameworks as needed.Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards; train staff on cybersecurity best practices.Participate in security audits and risk assessments, including vendor cybersecurity evaluations.Analyze threat intelligence and apply findings to strengthen network defenses.Support incident response efforts and forensic investigations as needed.Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
