Pay: $22.35 / hour

Allied Universal® is hiring an Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) Observer. The Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) Observer will ensure the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agencies adherence to ADA requirements. The Observer will report on the service and conditions of the SFMTA coaches. The Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) Observer is a non-security role that will not require the wearing of a uniform.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Document the following observations on a form provided by SFMTA's Accessible Services Division:Operator calling out stops and transfer pointsOperator is courteous and accommodating to patrons with disabilitiesIf the wheelchair ramp or the coach Is lowered when neededAre wheelchair patrons are properly secured in the designated wheelchair area when the coach Is In motionThe designated seats are kept open for patron(s) who are elderly or who have disabilitiesIf the bus is operated safely with a minimum amount of jerking motionsAre all service animals are allowed on the vehicle.Are the fair boxes on the vehicle are functioning properlyObserve and report other transit service-related issues

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

High school diploma or equivalentNo prior experience requiredAbility to articulate in writing field observations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Familiarity with the Americans With Disabilities Act
