About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Research Associate


In this role, you will:

Provide support in the editing and publishing functions within the Global Research and Economics Group in Wells Fargo SecuritiesGenerate research packet products, post research documents to market data vendors, update and maintain mailing lists, and provide client access to web sitesAssign reports to Editors and Supervisory Analysts to ensure the most efficient use of resourcesMaintain databasesReceive direction from leadersExercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

2+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

Debt origination/syndication support to Capital Markets team in EMEA & US markets across situations i.e. Debt restructuring, refinancing, Bond syndication, Leveraged & Acquisition financingMonitoring & tracking financial performance, borrowers’ business model/future strategy, security cover, industry developments and impact of macro-economic events on the overall market for the portfolio of covered client set across industriesPreparing pitch books, request for proposals (RFP), information memorandum, term-sheets, investor presentation, pricing of bonds, external legal documentation and sales memo for transaction origination and road showsAssist with structuring of debt transaction in terms of instrument, pricing, tenor, currency, target investors based on comparable transactions and existing market conditions with the ultimate goal of balancing clients’ needs with the lender and investor requirementsWorking closely with DCM desk, including cross functional teams such as Corporate Finance, Syndicate & ESG desk, and developing key relationships with these teamsUnderstanding of various debt products with specific focus on Hybrid and Liability managementEffectively communicate with key stakeholders in the US/EMEAResponsibilities include training and guiding junior and new analysts, resolving their project related queries and performing quality check on client deliverablesMay act as subject matter expert and sounding board for junior resources in the team 


Job Expectations:

Outstanding academic qualifications – MBA / master’s in finance from a premier educational institutionRelevant prior 2+ years of experienceStrong knowledge of accounting and financial conceptsKnowledge of Tableau, Power BI, Python, VBA etc. would be an added advantageAbility to proficiently use Microsoft Office Applications – Power Point and ExcelKnowledge of database tools – Factset, Thomson one, Capital IQ, Factiva, LevFin Insights, LCD News and BloombergImpeccable communication and interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to interact with senior professionals and key stakeholdersStrong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlinesAttention to detail and ability to ensure high quality of deliverablesAbility to provide innovative ideas to efficiently execute the tasksAbility to identify proactive ways to contribute to firm's goals & mission
