What You'll Do

As a Global Sector Coordinator/Analyst within BCG’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Practice Area, your primary focus will be to support the strategic agenda for the Technology sector by driving analysis, coordination, and communications to enable leadership decision-making and growth, including:

Quantitative analysis of business performance including financial and operational data to deliver clear financial and operational insightsProject management of initiatives that drive growth for the Technology sector, ensuring alignment and timely executionInternal affiliation and communication for the Technology sector community to strengthen engagement and collaborationSupport of targeted commercial growth plans

The Technology Sector is the largest TMT Sector and has experienced double-digit growth over the last several years. We serve clients across the globe and across every major subsector (Semiconductors, End-user devices, Equipment, Software, Consumer applications, IT Services, Growth Tech), and work in close collaboration with other parts of BCG in areas such as Healthcare, Financial Services and Mobility.


Your role will be fast-paced and will include projects across four key focus areas:


Product management/coordination:

Working with our Tech Leadership and Management team to support our sub-sector and product leaders to develop and deliver strategic plans including: goal definition and setting, budget allocation and tracking, and supporting leadership reviews / alignment.


Quantitative Analysis:

You will conduct significant data analysis in Excel and related tools and generate clear strategic insights across performance (e.g. revenue and other data), planning, and investments to inform sector strategies by:

Becoming fluent in with available data sources (internal and external) and tools (BCG / 3rd party) suggesting improvements as neededSupporting ad-hoc strategic analysis (e.g. working with market data) and budget definitionIdentifying new opportunities for expansion by analysing industry trends and internal performance data.

Team building / Affiliation:

You will work on defined projects that support the growth and development of the broader Technology Sector by:

Interfacing with our People team to ensure accurate Sector affiliation and use that data to grow, drive and engage our cohortsOrganizing internal sector events with the sector Director and Manager supporting our wider PA global and regional meetings.Supporting external events / round tables across key topic areas (E.g. Center for Disruptive Tech, client events).Working with other PA’s and BCG marketing teams to ensure ongoing exchange on best practice examples and innovation opportunities.

Communications:

You will play an important role in how the sector communicates internally and with external stakeholders this includes:

Owning and shaping our Sector’s internal communications including newsletters and other sector platforms such as Slack, WhatsApp etc. to strengthen connectivity and information flow across the teamApplying a working knowledge for sector IP, publications, marketing and social media activities, teaming with the wider TMT Marketing team on our agenda.

What You'll Bring

Who You'll Work With

You will coordinate closely with the Technology Sector Director, Regional PA Leaders, the Global Practice Management Director, as well as the Business Services team, alongside Practice Area Coordinators both within the practice and across others.

Practice Area Management & Operations team members keep BCG’s industry and functional practice areas operating responsively and efficiently. As a member of this team, you will contribute directly to the success of our business through a number of roles, including content development, process management, marketing, meeting and conference management, and internal/external communications.
