Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has immediate opportunities for a Process Control Section Manager at our Burns Harbor, Indiana operation. The Process Control Section Manager is part of the Maintenance, Engineering, and Utilities Division and is responsible for managing, leading, and directing a team of process control engineers and support contractors in a designated area across a 24-hour operation. This involves working directly with a large variety of computer systems responsible for steel processing models, mill event tracking, environmental compliance, quality, and production data collection.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of engineering experience and demonstrated competence with a diverse range of control systems and programming languages.Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant engineering field with extensive programming skills and experience.Knowledge of and experience with modern programming languages, SQL databases, and basic understanding of computer networking and routing, and the ability to create, modify, and troubleshoot complex control logic.Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of engineering experience in a steel mill or other manufacturing facility.In-depth knowledge of industrial control equipment – modern Level 2 and Level 1 systems including Virtual Machine Infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V), modern and vintage computer Operating Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and related hardware and software.Experience managing diverse teams and the ability to coach, mentor, and grow engineers with various technical backgrounds and expertise.
