Job Description

Leadership & Team Management

Provide strong and fair leadership to maintenance technicians, ensuring accountability and motivation.Coach and mentor team members on problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis.Promote a positive and preventive mindset within the team.Demonstrate nuanced communication skills, especially in heated or high-pressure situations, to maintain professionalism and resolve conflicts effectively.

Maintenance Operations

Support technicians in fixing breakdowns and resolving technical downtimes during escalations.Ensure accurate and timely data input by technicians into maintenance systems.Push activities toward preventive maintenance rather than reactive problem-solving.

Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

Analyze maintenance data to identify recurring issues and systemic weaknesses.Derive and implement improvement projects based on data-driven insights.Facilitate structured problem-solving sessions to find true root causes and prevent recurrence.

Engineering Collaboration

Work closely with the engineering section to improve unstable machine designs and enhance reliability.Provide feedback and recommendations for design improvements based on maintenance insights.

Cost Control & Optimization

Understand and analyze maintenance costs, including spare parts, labor, and downtime impact.Develop and implement measures to reduce overall maintenance costs without compromising quality or safety.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance strategies, root cause analysis, and reliability engineering.Familiarity with PLC systems and automation troubleshooting is a plus.Proven ability to manage costs and lead improvement projects.Applicants must be Malaysian citizens.
