What You Will Do:  

As a Manufacturing Test Development Engineering Section Manager you’re responsible for leading a support team of technically trained Engineers with varying levels of engineering experience supporting development programs and products. Additionally, you’re a working manager who will also provide engineering support to programs from the early development phases through transition to production.

Your team consists of approximately 15 Engineers responsible for providing functional support and producibility expertise to programs. Your responsibilities will include coaching and training engineers in the skills and processes necessary for successfully accomplishing their mission. Responsibilities also include:

Providing technical guidance and ensuring proper processes are followedCoordinating resourcesManaging team staffing levelsConducting interviewsDepartment project ownershipProviding input for strategic issues and plans for the department and programsCross functional collaboration and coordinating with other sectionsSafety and performance development.

In addition to leading your team, you’ll provide program technical support from the early development phases through transition to production. In these instances, you’ll leverage your technical knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, product technologies, factory requirements and business processes to establish and execute the manufacturing test strategy and influence technical program decisions in support of new product introduction as the manufacturing test authority within the program.

  

Overall responsibilities include:   

Employee coaching, mentoring, training and performance development  Employee hiring and staffing Providing technical guidance and problem solving to employees and programsProviding Subject Matter Expertise in Manufacturing Test regarding engineering processes and procedures throughout the development lifecycleDeveloping influential relationships with internal customers  Leading strategic improvement projects across the department and programs 

This job is posted as ONSITE and is based at Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ facility.

  

Qualifications You Must Have:  

Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.Experience working in manufacturing test production and/or developmentExperience leading teams or projectsAbility to work on programs requiring special program accessThe ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
