Job Description Insight Global is hiring a Lead AI/ML SME to support a large defense contract in Colorado Springs, CO sitting onsite between Schriever Space Force Base and Prime facility. Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and strategic AI/ML Technical Lead to support a federal customer in standing up and scaling AI/ML capabilities across mission-critical programs. This role is ideal for a candidate who can bridge the gap between technical execution and leadership, with a strong understanding of productization, program planning, and stakeholder engagement. This person will drive productization efforts—transforming existing AI/ML assets into scalable, customer-ready solutions. Responsibilities also include: - Lead the development and execution of the customer’s AI/ML strategy, aligning with mission and operational goals. - Evaluate current AI/ML pipelines and identify opportunities for optimization, scalability, and integration. - Conduct gap analyses across resources, costs, and capabilities to inform future-state architecture. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver program increment plans. - Serve as a customer-facing technical lead, engaging with senior stakeholders to translate mission needs into actionable AI/ML solutions. Pay Range: ~$155K -230,000 annually. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Skills and Requirements - Active DoD Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret - Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM and 12+ years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 10+, or 8 years of experience with a PhD. - Expertise in a wide range of AI/ML techniques, including deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and reinforcement learning. - Strong programming skills in Python, R, or other relevant languages. - Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Keras. - Expertise with Large Language Models/Generative AI and Prompt Engineering. - - Proficiency in data mining, data analysis, and data visualization. - Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools. - Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive. - Experience using LLM/GAI solutions for usage in human-machine teaming for Software Development. - Experience in Engineering and Aerospace - Publications in peer-reviewed AI/ML conferences or journals. - Experience with MLOps and deploying models at scale. - Experience with A/B testing and other methods for evaluating the performance of AI/ML models. - Experience working with sensitive data and adhering to data privacy regulations.
