Hours: Administrators and Supervisors are expected to devote the necessary time and effort required to properly complete their assigned responsibilities. It is understood that such time and effort may exceed the limits of normal working hours.
Position Purpose
The Greece Central School District is seeking highly-motivated, results-oriented administrators to lead our schools. Candidates must exhibit key leadership competencies in our Strategic Priorities: Accelerating Academic Achievement, Developing Human Capital and Professional Capacity, Improving Communication and Deepening Community Engagement, Ensuring Safety and Wellness, and Creating Quality Performance Management Systems. The candidate must be a proven leader who, through instructional leadership, has enhanced teacher effectiveness to improve literacy and mathematics instruction with data that meets or exceeds the benchmarks from the REACH 2027 Strategic Plan.
Required Qualifications:
+ Must possess a valid New York State administrative certificate (SAS/SBL/SDA).
+ Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based curriculum design, assessment, and instructional practices.
+ Documented experience in leading secondary educational program development and implementation including professional development in evidence based best practices to improve teacher development and increase student achievement.
+ Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience necessary to work effectively with students, teachers, administrators, families, and community members.
+ Demonstrated educational leadership rooted in a culture of high expectations and success for all students. Demonstrated knowledge of the REACH 2027 Strategic Plan and national best practices and trends for accelerating student achievement.
+ Demonstrated successful experience as an administrator and successful teaching experience related to working in socioeconomically and culturally diverse school settings.
+ Demonstrated capacity to use data analysis to guide decision making in order to promote school improvement.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of the processes of assessment, intervention and progress monitoring in order to support teacher calibration of instruction for all students.
Duties to Include the Following:
+ Provides ongoing leadership for using goals and objectives articulated in REACH 2027 Strategic Plan and benchmark metrics specified in the REACH 2027 Strategic Plan. Contributes leadership to the development of the school mission and goals tied to REACH 2027 Strategic Plan for the purpose of providing a positive learning climate and supportive school community. Supervises and manages all facets of curriculum implementation at the school, emphasizing preparation of graduates for success in the post-secondary educational setting and the world of work.
+ Utilizes 4DX to create school improvement goals and progress monitor lead measures throughout the school year.
+ Leads programming for building-level DiFour PLCs. Utilizes school-based Guiding Coalition to cultivate shared leadership and common instructional expectations.
+ Communicates the school instructional program, goals and objectives for the purpose of conveying information to parents and community.
+ Designs and works collaboratively with staff for the purpose of ensuring the effectiveness of ongoing and job- embedded professional development programs and practices.
+ Collaborates with school based and central office personnel for the purpose of ensuring the rigor, excellence and relevance of school curriculum offerings, implementation processes, and program evaluation initiatives.
+ Provides direction for school budget execution in curriculum implementation, professional development, and relevant instruction areas for the purpose of monitoring the expenditure of funds.
+ Provides ongoing feedback to staff via formal and informal observations designed for the purpose of ensuring the effectiveness of instruction delivery systems in all content and program areas.
+ Provides ongoing leadership for the purpose of ensuring high levels of student achievement of school improvement planning benchmarks and related District goals.
+ Supports staff and teachers with student accountability and attendance.
+ Works collaboratively with teachers, counselors, administrators, and other educators for the purpose of ensuring the implementation of a viable and reliable balanced assessment process, including effective diagnostic/pre-assessment, formative, and summative assessment.
