Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, responsible for the integration of children and youth with special needs into age appropriate programs by collaborating with families and community agencies.
Travel may be a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of Island Health in accordance with the service assignment.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Child and Youth Care, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field. Five years experience with children in child care settings, with three of those years being with special needs children, and experience working in community based licensed child care service, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Working knowledge of legislation or policies affecting childcare settings.
Valid Class 5 driver's license.
