Job Details Responsibilities will include: + Record and maintain proper food temperatures. + Measure and mix ingredients following standardized recipes. + Meet demands of meal schedules. + Requisition supplies and food items required for the following day according to menu. + Prepare, cater and serve special functions in the facility. + Keep all equipment and utensils in sanitary condition, good working order and use properly. + Check refrigerators for proper food storage including labeling and dating all food items. + Report any broken or damaged equipment to Supervisor or Food Service Director. + Keep area and equipment in good order to meet sanitary code. + May be required to close kitchen at end of shift in absence of P.M. Supervisor. + Report to Food Service Director any missing menu items. + Expand standardized recipes as needed. + Complete form for handling of potentially hazardous foods. + Knowledge of safe food handling techniques required by the DOH. + Perform other related duties as required. + Consistently utilize safety procedures. + Recognize and report potential hazards in the work area. + Use personal protective equipment appropriately to prevent chemical/infectious exposure. Use proper equipment and procedures to prevent accidents. + Identify safe handling techniques for the unpredictable resident/patient. Promptly report potential violent situations and/or incidences. Salary Range USD $27.00 - USD $32.00 /Hr. The pay for this position ranges from $27.00 - $32.00 per hour/ per year. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/ incentive , differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
