The Seat Plastics D&R is responsible for designing, developing, validating and releasing interior seat plastic parts under his/her responsibility for the assigned programs. Assuring the quality and integrity of the parts.
The potential components include, but are not limited to interior trim components such as ornamentation plastic and structural plastics.

To support our constant change, the engineer will need to work with different areas of the organization like Vehicle Operations, Craftmanship, Studio, Testing Engineers, application teams, CAD, Program teams, Purchasing, Human Factors and teams related to the cockpit of the car.

+ Responsible for looking for design improvements to increase quality and cost/weight optimization.
+ 4 days on site (GTBC FORD MÉXICO)
+ Responsible for designing parts in order to comply with Corporate and Local Requirements for parts validation, considering the WCR (Worldwide Customer Requirements), ES (Engineering Specifications), and SDS (Systems Design specifications) as well as the Manufacturing and Assembly requirements.
+ Develop ESOW (Engineering Statement of Work) and participate in the Sourcing Process (SA, ED&T review, piece and tooling cost review, and CPA).
+ Release parts in FEDEBOM and WERS through the product life cycle. Support the Change Control Meeting
+ Work toward innovation on internal processes and manufacturing as well as materials.
+ Responsible of parts incorporation at the Assembly Plant (program Launch)
+ Intermittent Travel to North America & Ford of Mexico plants.
+ **Education: B.S.** in or similar to Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or similar Degree
+ **English proficiency** ; fluid speaker with ability to negotiate and lead small cross functional groups.
+ **Interest in working** with interior automotive components, interior trim or seat plastics commodities preferred.
+ **Knowledge** on material properties, injection molding and tooling considerations.
+ Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
+ Must be able to lead and manage suppliers.
+ 3D CAD knowledge Teamcenter.
+ 3D CAD CATIA preferred ( create concepts, sections, part manipulation)
+ Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project).
