Position Summary
Sea Colony is seeking reliable, careful, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Seasonal Tram Drivers. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our resort transportation, responsible for safely operating the tram along designated routes and ensuring a pleasant and efficient experience for our guests and residents. Key Responsibilities
Safety & Vehicle Operation Safely operate a tram along a designated route, strictly adhering to all traffic laws and resort policies. Conduct thorough pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections to ensure the tram is in safe working order. Continuously monitor track conditions, traffic signals, and surroundings to prioritize passenger and pedestrian safety. Drive in a cautious and predictable manner at all times.
B. Customer Service
Provide a welcoming and professional environment for all passengers. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, paying special attention to those who may need extra help. Answer passenger questions courteously and provide information about the route, schedule, and local attractions. Maintain clear and professional communication with the Tram Assistant (if applicable) to ensure seamless service.
C. Operational Excellence
Adhere to a set timetable to ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs at designated stops. Keep the tram interior clean and presentable throughout the shift. Complete basic trip logs and incident reports as required.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the United States. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and must be insurable. High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable employment history. Ability to pass pre-employment and random Drug & Alcohol tests. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT physical/Medical Certification Card. Excellent customer service and communication skills. A reliable, safety-first attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.
Preferred
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger Endorsement. Previous experience in public or private passenger transportation.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Ability to sit for extended periods while operating the vehicle. Ability to enter and exit the tram vehicle multiple times per shift. Regularly required to reach, bend, and stoop to assist passengers and perform vehicle checks. Must possess sufficient mobility to perform pre-trip inspections, which may involve kneeling and checking under the vehicle. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with passengers.
