This is a Seasonal Hourly level position.
Shift – Monday through Friday – 7:30AM – 4:00PM
Position Summary: ADM is seeking a reliable, safety-minded worker to join our grain operations team in Taylorville, Illinois. This position will assist in the daily functioning of the grain elevator by operating the scale house during business hours. The scale operator ensures the safe and efficient operations of weighing, grading, and data entry of inbound grain trucks. This is an office-type, controlled environment role.
Job Responsibilities:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:Operate a computer to perform data entryOperate a joystick to take grain samples from inbound trucksOperate radios to communicate with truck drivers and grain elevator operatorsOperate grain grading equipmentAnswer phones and messages to make account changesRequirementsCommitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero-injury safety cultureAbility to follow verbal and written instructions, including safety procedures and operational guidelinesStrong attendance record and dependable work ethicWillingness to work overtime and weekendsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExhibit a professional image and maintain a positive and respectful attitudeBasic computer/technical skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to work for prolonged periods of standing and/or sittingADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
