Waste Connections is seeking a **Seasonal Heavy Equipment Operator** to join our Madera Disposal team in Suisun City, CA! **Schedule** : Monday-Friday 9-10 hours per day, starting at 7am. Our commitment to running a successful, growing business creates endless opportunities for career advancement and a culture that values happy, motivated team members. **Duties and Responsibilities** : + Operate dozer, excavator, motor grader, and other equipment on site as needed. + Excavate, relocate, and grade soil as needed as part of landfill cell construction. + Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment. **Working Conditions** : + Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and occasional rain. + The environment may be dusty, noisy, and require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hearing protection, gloves, and safety boots. + There will be exposure to machinery and heavy equipment, so safety protocols and precautions are strictly followed. **Minimum Job Requirements** : + 2+ years of heavy equipment operating experience + Ability to work both independently and as part of a team + Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen + Ability to work effectively in various outdoor conditions, including exposure to weather elements, and a dynamic work environment.
