Seasonal Full-Time Teller (Ages 16+)

Salary: $ 17.50/ hour 

Reports to: Branch Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Supervisory Responsibility: No

 

Position Overview:

Trustco Bank is seeking a motivated and friendly Seasonal Full-Time Teller to join our team. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining banking experience and developing their customer service skills. During the high school academic year, there is an option to transition to a part-time Teller position, with work hours adjusted to accommodate school schedules.

Key Responsibilities:   

Greet and assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, and account inquiriesPromote bank products and servicesMaintain accurate cash handling proceduresProvide exceptional customer service in a friendly and professional manner

Qualifications:  

Must be at least 16 years oldExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentReliable and punctualPrior cash handling or customer service experience is a plus but not required

Work Hours:  

Seasonal Full-Time hours are flexible but generally include daytime shifts, evenings, and weekends.

Monday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Tuesday: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Wednesday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Thursday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Friday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Saturday: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Sunday: Closed

 

Transition to Part-Time:

During the school session, work hours will be limited to accommodate academic commitments, typically not exceeding 20 hours per week

Specific scheduling will be coordinated to ensure compliance with school and legal work hour restrictions

Thursday: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Friday: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Saturday: 8:30 am - 1:00 pm

Language Skills:

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace; bilingual skills a plus.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information, including but not limited to company policies and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
