Responsibilities:
The Sealing Technical Specialist will execute maintenance and setup tasks, which require an in-depth technical knowledge of equipment. The technician will install, setup, troubleshoot, and repair complex equipment breakdowns involving all mechanical aspects of machinery, analyze failures or equipment technical loss causes, and make or suggest improvements as needed. Incumbent works closely with the Tech Manager, Maintenance Leads, Unit Manager, production associates and other maintenance team members to provide technical support to meet production goals, ensure a safe work environment and meet customer specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities are to include but not limited to the following:
Maintain equipment at a high level to meet safety, quality, and production goalsExtensive preventative and predictive maintenance experienceAdvanced skills in diagnosing problems, repair, and adjustment of equipmentAbility to articulate problems and use methodical thinking process to connect machine issuesUnderstanding or background in pneumatic and hydraulic systemsPrior in-depth knowledge repairing gear boxes, bearings, belts, chains, rollers, pumps.Read and interpret equipment manuals, prints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and servicesMachining skills, a plusUse a variety of hand and power toolsFollow Safety and Health policies and proceduresAbility to drive material handling equipment or be trained to drive material handling equipment

Mechanical Specialist interface with managers, team members, vendors, and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiencies are also essential requirements of the position:
Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience or some type of heavy equipment repair.Must take Ramsey Mechanical Aptitude TestComputer skills and/or ability to be trained on work order systemAbility to effectively communicate to aid in troubleshootingWelding experience, a plusMust show initiative and adaptability to work independently and/or as part of a teamMust have strong desire to learn, develop, and adapt to new equipment and methodsBe willing to work overtime as required to meet company goalsAbility to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendancePactiv Evergreen is now a part of Novolex.
