Join us to make positive change by helping build a better world where every person is free to move and pursue their dreams. **In this position…** The SDV Platform / SuperZonal Software Chief Engineer is responsible for leading the software strategy, development, and integration of the SDV SuperZonal software for the next generation Ford vehicle software platform. This role ensures delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions that support Ford’s next-generation vehicle architectures and aligns with the broader SDV strategy. **What you'll do…** · Define and lead the software portfolio the SDV SuperZonal , including platform and application layers. · Partner with cross-functional teams across Body Controls software architecture, Body Controls application software, and SDV platform partner to develop, integrate and validation the SDV SuperZonal software product. · Drive the integration of new system architectures [e.g., access & authentication, powernet] into SuperZonal, ensuring ASIL-B compliance and alignment with functional safety and cybersecurity requirements. · Lead integration of partner CI/CD pipeline into Ford environment including modernizing interface and software architecture process. · Coordinate with hardware teams and suppliers to ensure seamless HW/SW interface and delivery timelines. · Represent the SDV SuperZonal team in planning activities, tech platform forums , and executive updates. Key Deliverables within 12-24 months: · Select SDV platform partner. · Co-lead with partner and Body Controls software team the SDV architecture including actuator/resource, service, and application arbitration and prioritization. · Co-lead with DevOps and System Architecture team the integration of partner CI/CD platform and system architecture definition toolset. · Meet software platform and vehicle program deliverables leading the FDJ, DCV and PESO. **You'll have…** · BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent. · 10+ years of experience developing software for embedded systems. · 5+ years of experience in software integration. · Experience with DevOps and automated V&V. · Excellent leadership, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills. **Even better, you may have…** · MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent. · Proven leadership in embedded software development for automotive control modules. · Deep understanding of AUTOSAR, BSW, and software integration. · Experience with functional safety (ISO 26262), cybersecurity, and OTA strategies. · Experience working within an Agile software development framework. · Experience leading a team with proven collaboration with internal teams & external partners.
