Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer II (SDE II), you'll lead engineering design and development with a team of engineers and product partners. To succeed in this role, you believe in high standards for code quality, code reviews, testing, and operational excellence. You create mechanisms for achieving results and iterating improvements and can lead projects end to end while working with and through other engineers to deliver results, with the autonomy to build the right solution from Day One. As an SDE II with our team, you will collaborate with other engineers on technical design and strategy with a career opportunity for growth that only Amazon can offer.

About the team
Are you up to the task of overseeing the management and tracking of billions of packages for Amazon customers around the world? Then join the Customer Shipment Tracking and Control (CSTRAC) team; we are instrumental in developing many Amazons' retail features.

We manage the entire package tracking system—the website customers use and the underlying technology—giving customers reliable answers to their "Where's my stuff?" questions. To help our many internal clients, we have made delivery tracking readily accessible across Amazon's flagship sites and products.

Our technical vision includes providing an advanced, modular service architecture that allows us to deliver accurate package tracking information. We are not just about tracking; we empower customers to control where and when they receive their package even as it is in transit.
