Santander Consumer Finance UK (SCUK) is based in Redhill, Surrey and provides motor finance to a network of dealerships throughout the United Kingdom.

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Operational Transformation & MI department on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. The main responsibilities for this role are the analysis, case building and implementation of technology solutions, in an efficient and cost-effective way, by determining the requirements of any positive change, communicating it to relevant stakeholders and managing it through to completion whilst representing the customer facing operation.

Please note this role is a hybrid role with at least 3 days a week in the Redhill office.

Responsibilities will include:

Implementing technical changes within Operations and seeing it through to business-as-usual operationGathering requirements using observation, interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, tasks and workflow analysisCritically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and identity reconciliation conflicts or provide recommendations for improvementProactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyse information needs and functional requirements ensuring all are kept up to date on a regular basisProduce feasibility studies, business cases and business requirements documentationSuccessfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously with the direction being given from the Operational Delivery ManagerStrong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret our customer needs and translate them into application and operational requirementsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter expertsServes as the conduit between the customer community and the businessSupporting management in Operations by providing reports (ad-hoc, daily or monthly), testing, analysis and ad hoc tasksDeal with or escalate any identified risks in relation to Santander Consumer risk policies and/or legislative and regulatory guidelines in accordance with the Santander UK group risk frameworkAdhering to our commitment to Consumer Duty ensuring we put our customers’ needs first and set higher and clearer standards of consumer protection

We’re looking for someone who has:

Ability to manage and adapt in a busy, pressurised and frequently changing environmentAbility to articulate technical issues to non-technical colleaguesAbility to communicate, present and influence at all levelsA proven ability to build effective strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders with ability to manage expectations and mediate between stakeholdersGood analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills to develop methodologies and processesGood understanding of how to identify technical constraints during developmentGood understanding of the FCA requirements to drive good customer outcomes forwardManagement experience and is a confident decision makerA high level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to manage complex technical priorities at pace and multiple initiatives adjusting to shifting prioritiesAn analytical mind-set with a background in Business Analysis
