Job Description

We are seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join GDIT as a Test Engineer Advisor (Scrum Master/Coach). As part of our team, you will be a team-level change agent who facilitates and coaches’ Agile practices in a diverse and technically complex software development project. You will be responsible for ensuring all Scrum ceremonies are conducted in a timely and professional manner.

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

Troubleshooting and assisting team members in troubleshooting production issues through discussion with end users and technical resources.Furnishing professional advice to all levels of management including the senior leadership team and working to solve business problemsMentor team members in Agile values, principles, and practices

Test Engineer Advisor Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain JIRA and other information radiators for the teamsCollaborate with product owners to ensure mission aligned feature deliveryMonitor team velocity and promote agile discipline in support of stakeholder objectivesFacilitate Scrum Events such as Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective, ensuring that they are conducted according to Scrum principlesEnsures that the teams follow the Scrum frameworkCoach and mentor the teams on Scrum principles, practices and valuesIdentify and remove impediments that block the team’s progressManage and prioritize the product backlog

 Test Engineer Advisor Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field or equivalent experience Demonstrated working knowledge of Agile approaches, riles, practices and deliverables5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or member of a software development team5+ years supporting IT projectsSecret Clearance required

Experience

Experience with Scrum teams in a variety of different contextsExperience in tools such as JIRA and ConfluenceExperience in full software development life cycleExperience working in Agile environmentsExperience using MS Visio for updating diagramsExperience working in Federal or State government environmentsAbility to work independently and remotely

Certification:

Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certifications: SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
 

Travel Required: Little to no travel anticipated (may be required to travel upon customer request)


Location: Remote (on-site requirement for customer engagement event up to 4x a year)
 

US Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required
