Position title: Associate Director, Delivery Management
In this role, you will:
Responsible for supporting the Agile team through coaching, teaching, training and facilitating.
Establish the events needed to manage delivery, remove any blockers to delivery and facilitate the team to self-manage the delivery and development needed to meet the agreed objectives and outcomes
Adherence and adoption of HSBC technology standards, Agile framework, change framework and ways of working
Team level delivery risk and issue management
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Coach and support the Scrum team in Agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Remove impediments and shield the team from external distractions to ensure smooth delivery.
Work with the Product Owner to maintain a well-groomed, prioritized backlog and ensure stories are ready for development.
Track and communicate team progress, capacity, and risks to stakeholders using Agile metrics and Jira reports.
Promote transparency, accountability, and a focus on delivering business value.
Encourage self-organization and cross-functionality within the team.
Identify and address process bottlenecks, anti-patterns, and areas for improvement.
Understand complexities and dependencies with upstream and downstream systems.
Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.
Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.
