**Job Title: Brown & Sharpe Screw Machinist**
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Screw Machinist with expertise in setting up and operating Brown & Sharpe Screw Machines. This 1st Shift opportunity involves working with precision tools to ensure products meet company standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate Brown & Sharpe Screw Machines.
+ Read and interpret blueprints to guide machining processes.
+ Utilize micrometers and calipers for precise measurements.
+ Conduct quality inspections to maintain product standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ 6+ years of experience with Brown & Sharpe Screw Machines experience preferred.
+ Proficiency in blueprint reading.
+ Experience with micrometers and calipers.
+ Strong manual machining skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Comfortable standing throughout the entire shift.
+ Experience with quality inspection processes.

**Work Environment**
Join a small, family-owned company with a 'job shop' atmosphere. While the environment is well-lit, clean, and organized, with 35-40 machines and a dedicated team of employees. 1st shift hours are from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ROCKFORD, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
