Screw Machine Operator - 2nd
**Job Title: Screw Machine Operator - 2nd Shift** **Job Description** Join our team as an automatics operator, where you will safely operate Acme equipment during the 2nd shift from 4pm to 2:30am, with an expectation of 40 - 50 hours per week. Your role will involve loading machines with bars, starting the machine, inspecting parts for conformance, and making adjustments over time to ensure high-quality output. Training and a development path will be provided to enhance your skills in operating ACME machines. **Responsibilities** + Safely operate Acme equipment. + Load machines with bars and start the machine. + Inspect parts to ensure they meet conformance standards. + Make adjustments to machines to maintain quality. + Utilize micrometers and calipers for precise measurements. + Perform quality checks and documentation. + Set up and troubleshoot machinery as needed. **Essential Skills** + 2 years of machine operating experience. + Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics. + Experience working in a dirty environment. + Mechanical aptitude. + Ability to use micrometers and calipers. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Auto mechanic experience. + Experience with ACME Gridley equipment. + CNC setup experience. **Why Work Here?** Become part of a dynamic and supportive team that values growth and development. The plant's machinery requires oil or water-based lubricants, resulting in metal shavings and oil on the floors. Slip-resistant shoes are necessary, and while oil scrubbers are used periodically, the environment remains fairly dirty.
