SCM Supervisor

Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a SCM Supervisor. 

What you’ll do:

Primary Function:

This position supervises customer service analysts, production planners and material planners; to ensure the timely availability of materials at all phases at the process. Also, maintains and monitors inventory levels according to company policy.


Essential Functions: 
A. Supervises inventory control activities and evaluates excess and obsolete material elimination. 
B. Seeks process improvements opportunities for inventory management process; maintains inventory reports; analyzes material movement improvements; and establishes inventory locations and space utilization strategies.
C. Understands materials planning for assuring customer delivery and inventory objectives are met; and reviews engineering changes to ensure activities are effectively coordinated, implemented and avoid obsolete material. 
D. Monitors supplier and customer shipments in order to meet shipping and receiving dates.
E.  Along with the SCM Manager, leads physical inventories processes, plans scheduling, procedures, and reports outcomes. 
F.  Supports supply chain management processes, procedures, and strategic directions.
G.  Ensure EDI and customer releases are in place. Supervises demand alignment activities such as cumulative reviews and demand analysis.
H.  Establishes standard work for subordinates and synchronizes processes of demand, production planning and material planning.
I.   If required, coordinates with production, engineering, supply chain resources, and other departments to assist in the development of alternative materials for meeting customer demands. 
J.  Supervises personnel within work group. 
K.  Integrates and applies supply chain management best practices to support and comply with corporate wide commodities strategies and initiatives. 
L.  MPS (Master Production Schedule) 3+ months visibility and weekly production schedule. Balance production capacity with material availability and customer requirements.    
M.  Analyzes demand and properly implement methods to detect significant variations, take action accordingly. Ensure service of excellence with customers and fosters transparent communication.    
N.  Ensure proper MRP parameters are set for all parts in ERP.    
O.  Follow up with supplier delivery (raw material and services). Point of escalation with the planning team.
P.   KPI’s such as OTD, PPF, Premium Freight, DOH, Supplier OTD, among others.    

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

•    This position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in supply chain management / master scheduling.  

Preferred Knowledge & Training    

•    Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills necessary to converse with diverse group of stakeholders including senior management, manufacturing production/operations, and Supply Chain Management personnel.
•    Experience in successfully deploying commodity strategies and driving costs-out.
•    Sound knowledge in materials and production master scheduling, inventory control, transportation/logistics, purchasing, logistics, manufacturing control systems, (APICS CPIM), and customer JIT services.
•    Application experience in EBS, Lean Concepts, ISO, and QS9000 quality systems.

Transportation Sourcing & Management: Recognizes the flow of goods; can select timely and cost efficient modes of transportation for all incoming and outgoing shipments as well as storage of goods.
