Job Summary:
The Sr. Research & Development Analyst is a senior level position responsible for leading complex research projects and initiatives. This role involves conducting advanced analyses of research data, performing in-depth data analysis, and developing strategies to improve research outcomes. The Sr. Analyst works closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve research issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, this role involves mentoring and training junior staff and providing technical expertise to support continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities:
•Leads single-unit-process treatability studies including proposal and scope development
•Primary lab point of contact for Xylem project team and customers. Responsible for direct communication: e-mail response, compiling technical data, setting up team meetings, etc.
•Provides technical guidance to Scientist/Researcher I-III: answers project questions, provides feedback on proposals/scope of work, reviews reports, makes work assignments
•Demonstrates leadership attributes
•Develops new technologies for treating unique waste streams, designs bench and pilot equipment, leads or supports the capture of intellectual property.
•Manages project documentation including folder organization, uploading data, and drafting final report.
•Coordinates sample/waste disposal and/or return with Xylem project team and customers.
•Models 5S and lean principles
•Fosters a culture of safety

Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related field with at least 6-8 years' experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Graduate degrees will also be considered, with a least 6 years of experience for a master's degree in science, engineering, or a related field; or at least 4 years of experience for a doctorate degree.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Proficiency in research tools and software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and implement research strategies and plans.
• Experience in conducting experimental design and statistical analysis.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The estimated salary range for this position is $86,700.00 - $156,100.00 USD Annual plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
