Job Description

We are seeking a Scientist III with strong expertise in qPCR assay design and bioinformatics to advance our molecular biology solutions. This role combines hands-on experimental work with computational analysis to deliver robust, high-quality assays for research and diagnostic applications. You will play a key part in driving innovation, product and process development, and quality improvements that ensure the highest standards of scientific excellence and product performance.

Key Responsibilities

qPCR Assay Design: Develop, optimize, and validate qPCR assays, including primer and probe design for diverse targets.

Bioinformatics Integration: Use computational tools for sequence analysis, primer/probe selection, and specificity checks.

Programming & Automation: Build scripts (Python, R) to automate assay development workflows, QC pipelines, and data visualization.

Data Analysis: Interpret qPCR results and integrate sequencing data for assay refinement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with R\\&D, software engineering, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of computational and experimental workflows.

Wet-Lab Experience: Strong background related to wet lab work related to qPCR/dPCR related products such as assay creation and/or master mix development.

Documentation: Maintain detailed design records, reproducible code repositories, and prepare technical reports.

Requirements

Education: 

Master’s or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field.

Exper​ience:

+3 years of hands-on experience in qPCR assay design and optimization.

Strong background in molecular biology techniques and bioinformatics applications.

Strong wet lab experience related to qPCR assay development and/or qPCR consumables development (i.e. master mix)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages.

Familiarity with bioinformatics tools (Primer3, BLAST, Bioconductor).

Knowledge of assay performance metrics and troubleshooting strategies.

Good knowledge of English (written and oral) (level B2 - C1).

The monthly salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €2 891,67–€4 335,42.
