Labcorp is seeking a Scientist I – Serology Infectious Disease to join our team in Burlington, NC!
Job responsibilities:
The Scientist I is responsible for recognizing and interpreting deviations from expected results with a focus on Serology Infectious Disease technology and new assay development. Exhibiting some creativity in designing subsequent experimentation. Receives general instructions on routine experimental procedures. Independently follow established protocols. May require detailed supervision on new assignments. Takes regular direction/coaching from supervisor. Effective in people interactions and is recognized as important contributor to designated projects. Proficient writing abilities and expected to contribute to reports in area of expertise. Contributes to team meetings and presents own data to peers. May participate in external presentations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 6 or more years of experience in a clinical laboratory or research laboratory OR Master’s degree with 4 or more years of experience in a clinical laboratory or research laboratory.
2 or more years of experience with serology testing and pipetting techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD

Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal communications.
