Moving mountains together – as Scientist I – Analytical Development of Potency Assays (all genders) (full-time, permanent) For the Biologics Analytical R&D Department at AbbVie’s Ludwigshafen site in Germany, we are seeking an experienced Scientist to join our team. Our team is developing and executing state-of-the-art, innovative potency assays for biologics and therapeutic peptides Responsibilities + Development and validation of analytical methods; in particular in vitro cell-based bioassay and binding methods such as ELISA and SPR to drive the development of AbbVie´s therapeutic peptide pipeline + Interpret analytical data and conclude quality relevant parameters + Support for internal and external analytical laboratory activities + GMP-compliant performance and documentation of tests, preparation of laboratory reports in German and English and support of the documentation for regulatory submissions + Participation and independent communication in local / global meetings and cooperation with neighboring sites in Ludwigshafen as well as globally + Development of concepts for and performance of instrument qualification + Participation in scientific initiative and infrastructure projects Qualifications Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education with typically 5 years of experience, or Master’s Degree or equivalent education with typically two years of experience. + Strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in eukaryotic cell culture and cell-based assay development as well as binding assays (e.g. ELISA, Surface Plasmon Resonance, etc.) + Experience in peptide characterization is a plus + Skilled in the field of designing and qualifying in vitro cell-based assays to reflect the molecule’s relevant mode of action + Proficiency in automation processes for cellular assays is a plus + Experience in the GxP field is a plus + Highly motivated, self-driven and results-oriented with excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills + English and German language proficiency is essential + Experience with statistical analyses (including statistical software, e.g. JMP, PLA) and design of experiments, as well as script programming is desirable Here's how we can move mountains together + with a diverse work environment where you can have a real impact + with an open corporate culture + with an attractive salary + with an intensive onboarding process with a mentor at your side + with flexible work models for a healthy work-life balance + with a corporate health management that offers comprehensive health and exercise programs + with company social benefits + with a wide range of career opportunities in an international organization + with top-tier, attractive development opportunities + with a strong international network Multiple times, we have been globally recognized as a "Great Place to Work" and we are proud to provide our employees with the flexibility to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
