Position Summary:
The Investigative ADME, Toxicology and BioAnalytical Research team focuses on drug discovery using both traditional and novel scientific approaches. We seek an experienced scientist to support and help develop our cross-site ADMET Investigative Laboratory capabilities, including playing a substantive role to design, build and deploy automation-friendly screening infrastructure. The candidate should have a passion and demonstrated track record for developing capacity enabling early tier screening assays which deliver reliable results at the pace discovery research demands. Collaboration with ADMET Project Leaders, lab-based scientists and medicinal chemists is essential. This role requires excellent people and communication skills, a positive attitude, willingness to learn, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to our cross-site team of ADMET Investigative Laboratory scientists; establish a stage-oriented, high-capacity screening capability focused on cross-site integration, execution and organizational effectiveness of the pan-geography ADMET Investigative Laboratory.
Lead the design, implementation and operation of new and existing ADMET Investigative Laboratory assays and reporting of the data; troubleshoot and transfer established screening assays between sites and personnel as/when needed.
Ensure on-demand, issue-driven Investigative Laboratory assays are accomplished in support of programs in discovery and amplify project findings to improve and accelerate Discovery performance. Review screening data from CROs and other laboratories to assess the consistency between assays.
Partners with leaders across the Investigative ADMET and BioAnalytical Research organization to ensure critical success factors are outlined for teams while working to provide prompt delivery which will include assay development, data analyses, and reporting.
Educate discovery and development scientists on the appropriate use, context, and interpretation of ADMET Investigative Laboratory assays.
Provide guidance, next-level mentorship, and in some cases, possible direct supervision of ADMET Investigative Laboratory scientists.
Address concerns and questions regarding assays from chemists, biologists, toxicologists, and ADMET scientists across the enterprise.
Champion an environment that challenges the organization to actively tackle complex problems, while evaluating and internalizing new technology to increase efficiency and excellence to the group.
Basic Requirements:
MS with 5+ years academic/research/industry experience (or BS with 10+ years similar experience) within the pharmaceutical sector or closely related field.Demonstrated experience with key assay and screening technologies, including automated liquid handling, high speed liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) for sample analysis, and software and automation tools to support the throughput and capacity requirements for Discovery assay support.Additional Preferences:

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$70,500 - $200,200Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
