The Manufacturing Technical Support (MTS) team is seeking an entry-level Scientist to join our dynamic and collaborative group. MTS plays a vital role in supporting manufacturing operations by qualifying raw materials, resolving production issues, and conducting laboratory investigations. This position provides hands-on experience with automated testing systems and offers exposure to blood bank diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
+ Execute investigations, projects, and process development tasks under guidance
+ Develop a strong understanding of products and the scientific techniques employed
+ Learn to navigate standard operating procedures (SOPs), cross-functional documentation, and internal resources
+ Utilize statistical tools (MiniTab, JMP, Excel) to compile and analyze data
+ Assist scientists by preparing and organizing test data
+ Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation including notebooks, reports, and forms
+ Organize and manage test samples and data throughout the course of investigations
+ Communicate findings and updates clearly and effectively with team members
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
+ Clinical laboratory testing experience
+ Blood typing knowledge
+ Basic technical writing and data organization skills
+ Familiarity with statistical software
Preferred:
+ Experience with automated systems or blood bank medical devices
+ Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
+ Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Science or a related field (other science degrees considered with relevant experience)
+ 0–3 years of experience in blood testing, blood typing, or diagnostic testing
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
