The Immunodiagnostics Division (IDD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific aims to dramatically improve the management of allergy, asthma, and autoimmune diseases by providing healthcare professionals with advanced diagnostics technologies and clinical expertise. Our key businesses: allergy, autoimmunity, and systems. This role will be part of the Global Downstream Marketing team.

How will you make an impact?

We’re seeking a scientifically trained content writer to help develop global marketing materials that communicate the value of our immunodiagnostic solutions to healthcare professionals, clinical laboratory audiences, and patients. This role combines scientific expertise with strong English writing skills to craft accurate, compliant, and engaging content. As a part of the Global Downstream Marketing team, this person will help translate complex immunodiagnostic information into meaningful content that drives understanding and impact across diverse markets.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in the life sciences, exceptional writing ability, and a keen understanding of how to create credible, high-quality marketing content that drives engagement while meeting regulatory and brand standards.

What will you do?

Write, edit, and proofread a variety of marketing content including web and blog copy, brochures/flyers/quick guides, marketing emailers, educational materials, and digital advertisingConduct literature searches to identify impactful, evidence-based claims that influence HCP and laboratory decision making, ensuring all claims are supported by credible referencesTranslate complex scientific and medical information into accurate, engaging, and audience-appropriate contentPartner closely with subject matter experts to ensure scientific accuracy and brand alignmentSupport the development of value propositions, key messaging, and positioning for new and existing diagnostic products and solutions, grounded in clinical data and scientific rationaleCollaborate with global and regional teams across multiple time zones, including marketing, medical affairs, and product management in Europe and North AmericaEnsure all materials meet regulatory, medical, and legal standards, including correct referencing, claim validation, and adherence to internal review processes.Maintain a consistent voice and tone across all marketing materialsStay current with clinical guidelines, immunodiagnostic trends, and competitor positioning to inform content strategyKeys to Success:EducationBachelor’s degree in scientific or medical field (e.g., Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field)Advanced degree (MSc, PhD, or equivalent) in Immunology or related field preferredExperienceRequiredExperience in scientific, medical, or technical writing ideally within healthcare, diagnostics, or life sciences marketingExceptional written English skills and the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to global audiencesAbility to distill complex information into clear, accurate, and engaging messagesDemonstrated ability to perform literature research and identify reputable references to support content claimsPreferredUnderstanding of marketing principles, content strategy, and SEO/AEO/GEO standard processesFamiliarity with medical/regulatory review processes and compliant claim supportExperience working with global teams and adapting content for multiple regions or languagesKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to manage multiple competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills to work effectively across cross-functional teamsTeammate with a positive attitude who is prepared to really commit to accomplish business objectivesStrong time management, organizational, planning and prioritization skillsBenefits
