Salary: Per GTA Contract Bargaining Unit ( click here (https://www.greececsd.org/Page/531) for contracts): GTA Report Times: 7:15 am - 2:15 pm Daily Hours: 7 Work Year: 2025-2026 Supervisor: Principal Civil Service Title: N/A Minimum Requirements: NYS Chemistry 7-12 Certification (or equivalent certification that qualifies you to teach secondary Chemistry) Desired Qualifications: A deep understanding of: The NYS P-12 Science Learning Standards; 3-Dimensional instruction/ assessments; Phenomenon based instruction; Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational and interpersonal skills; Patience, adaptability, and a passion for teaching and chemistry; Commitment to continuous professional development. Position Summary/Responsibilities: This position is for a secondary chemistry teacher at Greece Arcadia High School; Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students' understanding and application of chemistry concepts; Preparing and distributing learning material such as notes, assignments, and quizzes; Sourcing the resources and supplies needed for lessons; Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning; Grading assignments and quizzes in a timely manner; Invigilating quizzes and final examinations; Documenting and reporting on students' progress; Attending meetings with parents and staff; All other duties as assigned.
