WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a VP in the SCIB FCC function you will be responsible to provide advice and support the FC control teams (Controls and Model Advisory and Governance and Oversight teams) and the First Line of Defense to develop and enhance the AML and ABC elements of the control framework related to the CIB Financial Crime policy transposition and implementation and support the delivery of their business strategy as relates to new markets and products. This includes the support of advisory, and oversight as relates to CIBs core business areas and products including the ongoing adequacy and effectiveness of their control framework.
We need someone like you to help us on different fronts:
Support the Global Head of FCC CIB in tandem with GFCC team to oversee the implementation and maintenance of an effective CIB AML and ABC risk framework overall.Develop and deliver training and awareness programme in co-ordination with Central Compliance, GFCC, business and Learning and development.Develop and deliver guidance to first line and second line colleagues.Ensuring that advisory to business lines is considered within the context of the global control framework taking an end-to-end risk view.Horizon scanning and regulatory change management.Drive operational adequacy and effectiveness of the Group AML and ABC Policy and Protocols. This includes working with GFCC and CIB FCC peers and acting as the key point of contact as required or directed.Performing testing activities over FC controls; reviewing artefacts and deliverables and performing technical (data) testing activities as required.Assist with the timely identification of opportunities to enhance the management and oversight of Financial Crime risk, and ensuring appropriate action is taken by relevant parties to deliver improvements.EXPERIENCE
Should be a professional financial crime compliance expert with approximately 5-10 years’ experience across the core competencies required for the role.Proven leadership capabilities and experience in the build out of a financial crime capability.Strong understanding of Reg and FinTech initiatives and developments.Proven record of being an Industry Practitioner and Subject Matter Expertise.Strong understanding of the CIB business products and services including Markets, Trade Finance and Capital Markets solutions. Have an in-depth understanding of Payments, Trade and Correspondent Banking.Proven record of working within a large multi-national bank with Global and regional exposure in a similar role.Working at pace while maintaining effectiveness.EDUCATION
Applicable Managerial level AML qualification would be preferred but not mandatory.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Spanish language required and strong English skillsMust have majority of experience in the banking industry and preferably at a Tier 1 or 2 Bank within the CIB environment.Must have the ability to determine the top priorities for a team and to deliver against these.Flexibility to work across the team and be deployed where the team or organization requires.Leadership experience is necessary with the ability to define the requirements for a team and the core competencies for the team and supporting BAU delivery as required.Ability to use analytics capability to deploy screening, monitoring and other technology solutions.Highly organized, initiative-taker with minimal supervision.Able to develop a financial control framework and strategy that aligns to the Group FCC strategy and CIB business strategy.Detail orientated with ability to still elevate the detail into an overall strategy.Proven experience of engaging with senior executive stakeholders and be capable of influencing the right outcomes for the organisation.Able to concisely convey complex regulatory aspects and requirements to enable the business consumer to understand the approach required or the risk.Must have business transactional knowledge and financial crime control expertise.Capability to deal with multiple requests of varying natures while still addressing the overall strategy.OTHER INFORMATION
