School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - Sierra Vista, AZ Location: Sierra Vista, AZ Pay Rate: $38–$42 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:25 AM–3:45 PM Contract Dates: ASAP – May 2026 Position Overview Amergis is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support two K–5 elementary school sites in Sierra Vista, AZ. The SLPA will assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering high-quality speech and language services in accordance with the assigned plan of care. Responsibilities include clinical support, educational engagement, documentation, and treatment activities within the SLPA scope of practice. Responsibilities + Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing treatment plans for students. + Provide direct therapy services under supervision. + Support documentation and data collection requirements. + Collaborate with school staff to enhance communication outcomes for students. + Maintain compliance with state, district, and professional standards. Caseload & Sites + Grade Levels: K–5 + Sites: Two elementary schools (specific campuses reviewed during interview) + Caseload: TBD Minimum Requirements + Associate degree from an accredited SLPA program or bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders. + Minimum 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience. + Current Arizona SLPA license/certification. + Compliance with all applicable professional standards. + One year of SLPA experience preferred. + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as applicable). + Current health certificate (per state or contract requirements). + Must meet all federal, state, and local regulations. + Must be at least 18 years old.
