School Psychologist – In-Person (Full Time) Location: Chattanooga, TN Modality: In-Person Only (No virtual/hybrid) Openings: 20 Start Date: ASAP (Estimated Start 2/9/2026) Schedule: 37.5 hours/week Contract Duration: Through 5/20/26 (approx. 16 weeks) Position Overview We are seeking qualified and dedicated School Psychologists to provide on-site psychological services for students across the school district. This position supports students facing a range of mental health, academic, developmental, and behavioral needs. School Psychologists play a critical role in student success by conducting assessments, recommending eligibility for services, crafting intervention strategies, and supporting the Whole Child/Whole Student approach. This role is itinerant/district-wide. Candidates will be assigned a specific school site upon hire and will serve at that location only. Primary Responsibilities + Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and synthesize data to determine eligibility under IDEA/TDOE guidelines. + Complete initial assessments and triennial reevaluations within state-required timelines using TDOE forms. + Produce psychological reports that incorporate multiple data sources in alignment with TDOE assessment procedures and eligibility criteria. + Ensure all assessments account for student characteristics including cultural, socio-economic, linguistic, and disability-related factors. + Assist with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) for students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). + Serve on school-based teams such as RTI² Instructional Data Review Teams or RTI² Behavior Support Teams. + Monitor academic and behavioral progress and consult with teachers on student needs. + Provide direct support and interventions to students with a variety of exceptionalities. + Participate in professional development focused on Whole Child/Whole Student initiatives. Education, Experience & Qualifications + Master’s degree in a related field (Educational Specialist Degree ED.S. preferred) + Valid Tennessee School Psychologist License (required) + Minimum 1 year of experience in a school setting (required to submit) + Valid state-issued driver’s license + Pediatric or adolescent experience preferred + Must maintain all current state licensures/certifications + Complies with all relevant professional practice standards + Current CPR certification (if applicable) + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable) + Current health certificate (if required by state/contract) + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age + Spanish proficiency a plus + Must be fingerprinted through TBI/FBI Submission Requirements Email all submissions to: KnoxvilleStaffing-697@amergis.com Required documents: + Resume + Tennessee School Psychologist License + Email resume to Amanda at amalmand@amergis.com or text 813-261-4384 to schedule a call today!
