School Psychologist
Immediate opening for a School Psychologist in Youngstown, Ohio Position Overview Amergis is actively seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support K–12 students in the Youngstown, OH region for the entire 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time role requiring 35–40 hours per week (flexible schedule), with a preference for candidates available to work the full 40 hours. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting student success through assessments, consultation, intervention planning, and participation in eligibility and team meetings. Responsibilities + Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students (academic, cognitive, behavioral, social-emotional). + Participate in IEP, ETR (Evaluation Team Reports), and eligibility meetings in alignment with Ohio Department of Education (ODE) guidelines. + Provide data-driven recommendations to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. + Assist with MTSS/RTI problem-solving teams through progress monitoring and intervention planning. + Consult with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support student needs. + Develop and support the implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs). + Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and support during student emergencies. + Collaborate with families to enhance home–school partnerships and support student success. + Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation within Ohio compliance timelines. + Deliver short-term counseling or skill-building sessions when appropriate and permitted by school policy. + Promote positive school climate and social-emotional learning initiatives. + Ensure all practices align with ODE regulations, district policies, and NASP ethical standards.
