School Psychologist – South San Francisco, CA 37.5 Hours/Week | ASAP – End of Assignment | $80–$90 per Hour We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide psychological, behavioral, and developmental support services for children. This assignment begins ASAP and continues through May 29, 2026, covering a colleague’s leave. You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team working with elementary-aged children. Assignment Details + Dates: March 2, 2026 – May 29, 2026 + Schedule: 37.5 hours per week + Population: Elementary-aged children + Caseload: Typical triennial and initial evaluation caseload; may be lighter due to additional psychologist assistance + Services: Includes counseling and assessment + Purpose: Coverage during another psychologist's leave Position Overview The School Psychologist supports children experiencing developmental, learning, behavioral, or emotional challenges. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, consultation, counseling, and contributing to individualized intervention planning based on each child’s needs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities + Conduct multi-factored evaluations (initial and re-evaluations) within required timelines. + Perform comprehensive psycho-educational assessments and interpret findings. + Provide consultation regarding behavioral, learning, and mental health needs. + Monitor progress and recommend adjustments to interventions as needed. + Support development of individualized intervention strategies. + Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and assist with Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) where appropriate. + Observe children in various settings to inform assessment and planning. + Interview caregivers, children, and involved professionals. + Review developmental histories and current functioning to guide recommendations. + Complete documentation, evaluation reports, and internal entries by required deadlines. + Participate in team meetings, review procedures, and intervention planning discussions. + Maintain confidentiality aligned with professional, state, and licensing standards. + Participate in relevant training and professional development. + Support response-to-intervention processes as applicable. + Assist in additional program needs including caregiver groups, screenings, counseling, intern supervision, or development of new services. Minimum Requirements + Current School Psychologist licensure/certification in the State of California. + Master’s degree in Psychology or School Psychology preferred. + Experience with pediatric and adolescent populations preferred. + CPR certification, TB clearance, and health documentation as required. + Understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA standards. + Strong communication skills and proficiency in English. + Computer proficiency required. + Must be at least 18 years old. + Completion of all applicable onboarding or competency training.
