Position Overview: 

Maintain a comprehensive school health program to Middle School students, assessing and addressing immediate health problems, implement required screenings (vision, hearing, etc.),and ensuring immunization compliance. Develop and implement nursing care plans for students with long-term/chronic health problems, providing appropriate assessment, specific goals and interventions to support their educational process. Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records, dispenses medication per policy, and collaborate with other school-based staff and teams to address student health needs. Actively work to initiate and maintain a healthy and safe school environment, including evaluating hazards, providing health education, managing communicable diseases, and encouraging healthy behaviors among students and staff.

Qualifications: 

Connecticut RN Nursing Licensure [Required] Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Preferred
