School-Based LPN Needed! Lowell, Massachusetts Contract Position | 30 Hours/Week | School Hours Amergis Healthcare Staffing is proud to partner with a much respected school in Lowell, MA to support nursing services within a middle school program. We are currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide school-based health support for the remainder of the school year. This is a great opportunity to work within an alternative setting designed for students experiencing behavioral, attendance, or classroom-disruption challenges—while collaborating closely with a strong school health team. Position Overview As the school-based LPN, you will provide general nursing care to middle school students while being available throughout the day for a student requiring diabetes management. You will work alongside and receive support from the lead nurse on campus. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule and the ability to make a meaningful impact in a specialized educational setting. Location: Lowell, MA Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: Through end of School Year Schedule: + Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri: 8:00 AM – 2:45 PM + Wed: 10:00 AM – 2:45 PM Hours: 30 hours/week Pay Rate: $47/hr A shadowing period with the lead nurse will be provided to support a smooth transition into the role. Key Responsibilities + Provide daily nursing care and support in a middle school alternative program + Monitor and manage a student requiring diabetes care throughout the day + Support students with minor injuries, medication administration, and health needs + Collaborate with the lead nurse, teachers, and school staff + Maintain accurate documentation (no formal EMR/charting system used) + Assist with behavioral or crisis situations as appropriate + Communicate effectively with families and school administration Qualifications + Active MA LPN License + Experience with diabetes management (required) + Pediatric or school-based experience + Behavior management experience preferred but not required If you're passionate about supporting students in a unique educational environment and want to be part of a collaborative school community, we’d love to hear from you!
