Position Overview:
Collaborate closely with the current school social worker to support and manage their existing caseload, learning individual student needs and service plans. Assume full responsibility for the social worker's caseload upon the commencement of their paternity leave, ensuring seamless continuity of care and support for students. Provide direct IEP counseling minutes to students, fulfilling mandated services as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs. Participate in IEP meetings as needed, providing expert insight into student social-emotional needs and counseling progress. Conduct thorough suicide assessments when necessary, following established school protocols and ensuring student safety and well-being. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all counseling sessions, assessments, and student interactions in accordance with school and legal requirements. Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff regarding student progress, concerns, and available resources.Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Counseling or School Social Work Must have experience conducting suicide assessments and delivering IEP-mandated counseling Proficient in both Spanish and English (written and verbal communication)Why Make a Move with Cross Country Education?
