As a School Based Therapist, you’ll provide individual, group, family, and practical counseling services to support student well-being and foster academic success. You’ll collaborate with school counselors and community partners to ensure comprehensive care and access to resources. Key Responsibilities:Provide individualized counseling services at school sitesEstablish and manage a caseload in coordination with supervisory staffOffer prevention, intervention, and support services to reduce academic barriersParticipate in client staffing and treatment planningProvide emergency response during emotional crisesCoordinate follow-up services for continuity of careCollaborate with school counselors and community resourcesConduct clinical assessments and deliver interventionsServe as a liaison to ensure services reach all family members
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related fieldMust possess or be working toward licensure in Missouri
Required License/Certification (one of the following):PLPC, LPC, LMSW, or LCSWComplimentary licensure supervision available for PLPC and LMSWSalary increases upon obtaining full licensure
Additional Qualifications:Strong clinical skills with a trauma-informed approachAbility to build trust and therapeutic relationshipsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsFlexibility and resilience in school-based settings
