Position: Paraprofessional Location: Wilmington, MA Start Date: ASAP Duration: 25–26 School Year Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–2:45 PM Job Description: The Therapeutic Learning Center is a public elementary and middle school program serving students with intensive special needs. The program supports students in developing communication skills, academic readiness, community and life skills, social skills, and independence. The paraprofessional will assist students in grades PreK–8, supporting instruction, implementing IEP goals, and reinforcing independence, social awareness, language, and appropriate behavior. Experience Requirements: Special Education background; must be able to work with students who display significantly challenging behaviors. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
