In Egypt, Siemens Mobility is modernizing the mechanical signaling system on the Benha/Port Said Railway into a modern electronic signaling system according to the highest European safety standards (SIL-4). Spanning 219 km, this project is part of the broader Egypt National Railways Modernization Project (ENRMP) and aims to enhance the safety standards, increase the number of passenger trains, and boost freight capacity.
Today, we are recruiting for a Scheduling Manager to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.
What are my responsibilities?
Implement and uphold scheduling standards, procedures, and plans to ensure consistent application across all workstreams. Prepare and manage Primavera P6 schedules, including baseline creation, progress updates, and delay analysis. Develop resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules, coordinating timelines across engineering, procurement, and construction. Collaborate with project teams to align schedules with contractual milestones, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions. Generate detailed progress and performance reports, including earned value, critical path, milestone trend, and S-curve analyses. Support the project team in time impact assessments and forensic schedule analysis to substantiate claims or defend against delays. Facilitate regular schedule coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment. Continuously evaluate project inputs and feedback to refine planning assumptions and improve forecasting accuracy. Collaborate with cost controllers and technical leads to integrate planning insights into broader project control strategies. Prepare high-quality client-facing reports that reflect schedule performance, progress trends, and strategic recommendations.What do I need to qualify for this job?
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. 8-12 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, with a proven track record on mega infrastructure or rail projects. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and a solid grasp of project management best practices, tools, and techniques. A PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred. Experience in preparing contractual submissions and progress documentation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple schedules in parallel. A detail-oriented and process-driven work approach, with strong prioritization and time management capabilities. Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. A customer-focused attitude, consistently aiming to add value and drive timely project outcomes. Full professional proficiency in English (spoken and written).What else do I need to know?
