The Scheduler/Receptionist is responsible for performing clerical and administrative tasks within the radiology department.

Required:
High School Diploma/GED CPR BLS certification from the American Heart AssociationComputer skills, Microsoft officeStrong customer service skills and excellent interpersonal communicationExperience with PACS and EPIC preferred
Schedule:
Full-TimeDaysMonday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm (Flexibility to cover operational hours as needed between 7:00am-6:00pm)Holiday rotation as neededEssential Functions:
Duties include greeting patients, managing patient appointments, patient arrival for procedures, assists patients with screening forms and associated paperwork scheduling appointments and handling both in person and over the phone communicationMonitoring of Radiology wait times to ensures patients and their families are kept informed during their visitThis position offers diversity with learning and covering the file room, CD uploads, escalation of radiology read requests, and patient billing,Adherence to Patient Confidentiality and HIPPAFlexibility for coverage with operational hours, rotating weekends as needed, rotating coverage for holidaysDemonstrates competence in appropriate use of IDX for ICD- use and billing details,Demonstrates expertise in IDX scheduling, report and reception functionsInteract professionally through personal, telephone, or written communication, providing appropriate assistanceReports patient complaints, problems and any outward signs, symptoms or unusual occurrences immediately to appropriate staffRetrieve all reports and exhibit ability to fax to requesting physicians, nursing units, physician offices and ancillary departments with the institutionSchedule all procedures correctly for Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, CT, Diagnostic and MammographyTransports patients to floor units or emergency departments if requiredOther Duties:
